I had a dream that I was taking a bath and there were fish in my bath tub (little ones). They were dying because they were saltwater fish and the bath water wasn’t. I couldn’t do anything about it, so I unplugged the drain and they went down the drain because I was putting them out of their misery. Suddenly I realized there was an ocean outside. I could only grab 2 fish. One was a small dark fish and one was a big beautifully colored fish that was a butterfly fish that was blue, and yellow. That fish was a male. I am a woman. I held them and ran to the water and tossed them in and they jumped up out of the water and then swam into the sunset. There was a male with me, but I couldn’t see him. He was guiding me or talking to me. I don’t remember what he said or was doing. He was just next to me.
The dream of taking a bath with fish in the tub may symbolize being submerged in emotions or situations that feel unfamiliar or overwhelming. The dying saltwater fish could represent the struggle to adapt or cope in an environment that is not suited for them, mirroring a sense of being out of place or out of one's depth in a certain aspect of life.
Unplugging the drain and allowing the fish to go down symbolizes a desire or need to release and let go of these out-of-place feelings and circumstances. This action may signify the attempt to end their suffering or find a way to escape from or resolve the discomfort.
The sudden realization of an ocean outside signifies the discovery of a larger and more suitable environment or opportunity. It represents a new perspective or expanded horizons that can provide a better fit for personal growth and fulfillment.
The act of grabbing two fish, one small and dark, and another big and beautifully colored, may symbolize embracing contrasting aspects or opportunities in life. The small dark fish might represent stability, security, or caution, while the big, beautifully colored butterfly fish could symbolize creativity, freedom, or vibrancy. As a woman, the male butterfly fish could represent a masculine energy or qualities within oneself that are coming to the surface.
Throwing the fish into the ocean and watching them jump out of the water into the sunset suggests a sense of liberation, releasing the control or attachment to certain situations or emotions. This act signifies a willingness to embrace change, take risks, and trust in the journey ahead.
The presence of an unseen male figure who is guiding or talking to you represents the subconscious or intuitive guidance that is leading you through this process of transformation. Although you may not remember the specifics of what he said or did, his presence indicates a sense of support, encouragement, or inner guidance during this period of transition.
Overall, the dream suggests that you may be in a phase of letting go, exploring new possibilities, and embracing change. Trusting your intuition and seeking guidance can help navigate this transformative journey successfully.
